Olubunmi Akinyemi - Tips For Running A Project Effectively

In addition to being a business owner, Olubunmi Akinyemi is also a graduate of George Washington University, having taken an advanced degree in Project Management at the institution. Running a project, regardless of its size, can often be difficult for those who have no experience, so try to keep the below in mind to stand the best chance of achieving success.

Get To Know Your Team
Your team members are going to prove vital if the project is going to be a success, so try to be more than a faceless entity barking orders at them. Get to know your team members as individuals, as far as professionalism allows, as this will help you to determine what motivates them to work hard and what talents they bring to the project.

Create Goals And Milestones
No project should ever be started without having a clear goal in mind and good project managers know that creating milestones that must be reached in order to achieve the end goal is vital. This allows you to structure the work that your team does on the project, ensuring that everybody understands their roles and gets the tasks assigned to them done on time.

Analyze
Olubunmi Akinyemi came to understand the importance of detailed and comprehensive analysis while studying at college. Not only does analyzing your project help you to figure out ways to make things more efficient, but it also allows you to keep track of each team member’s level of productivity. Furthermore, analysis of failed projects will allow you to identify mistakes that can be avoided in the future.

The first thing you need to keep in mind when you run is how you’re striking the ground. You want to strike the ground with the front or ball of your foot, not you heel. This will keep the impact force felt on the body in the muscles rather than the joints.

The next thing you want to keep in mind in regards to your form is your upper body stability. Make sure you’re back is straight and upright as to not put any extra stress on the leg muscles.

Olubunmi Akinyemi - Three Tips for Success as a Personal Trainer

Olubunmi Akinyemi, as the owner of Jungle Fitness, employs many personal trainers who work with clients on an individual basis to help them achieve their personal fitness goals and reach their potential. These trainers work with clients of all abilities, from athletes recovering from injuries to trying to gain a competitive edge, to professionals with limited time. No matter the client, or the employer for that matter, all personal trainers can find success if they follow these three tips for success:
  • Educate yourself. This is to say, “do your homework.” Olubunmi Akinyemi tells his personal trainers for Jungle Fitness to stay ahead of all fitness trends and have answers when clients have questions. The more you know about the reasons why certain exercises are needed at certain times, the more clients will follow your fitness plans. That said…
  • Say, “I don’t know.” One of the worst things that a personal trainer can do, according to Olubunmi Akinyemi, is give a client bad information. If you don’t know the answer to a question, tell the client you don’t know and make a note to find the answer for next time.
  • Admit mistakes. Personal fitness clients know that their trainers are human, too. They don’t expect you to be perfect. Admit when you’re wrong about a particular course of action or advice. This will endear you to most clients and prevent them from thinking an injury or a mistake is all their fault.
